How Can I Correct My Posture?
This upper back brace for posture correction loops around the shoulder and waist to hold the back and shoulders in an ideal position. Putting this posture correction brace on is quite similar to putting on a backpack.
The adjustability of this support means the same size can be used for both men and women of various sizes. The straps can be easily shortened with a scissors if needed.
To determine if this brace will fit you, measure the circumference around your chest at the bottom of your sternum. This posture brace fits chest circumferences 27”-50”. We also have a smaller child’s version of this posture brace.
This posture treatment brace is very comfortable to wear as it is soft against the skin and does not rub under the armpits. The material used to construct this posture brace is soft, non-elastic, breathable and skin-friendly. There is a soft pad at the back where the straps merge that eliminates any uncomfortable rubbing at this junction. The unisex posture brace molds itself perfectly to the contours of one’s body, especially in the sensitive underarm area.
The lightweight design of this posture brace allows for maximum breathability. You can also wear the brace under or over clothing, whichever you prefer.
The brace is available in a white or blue color. The white clavicle support is in stock for quick shipment.
Upper Back & Shoulder Posture Support Brace
The figure-8 straps of a clavicle brace hold the shoulders in a retracted position. This position is beneficial in that it provides support to the collarbone as well as the back so that the clavicle can heal in instances of a fracture. Bort offers a number of clavicle immobilizers and clavicle fracture brace
Fastening this brace in the chest area makes it possible to be able to put on, adjust, and remove the brace independently. However, if you do not like the strap running across your chest, check out this other fully adjustable posture brace that we offer. This posture brace also features narrow straps that can easily be adjusted yourself.
For posture, specifically, the retracted position in which it holds the shoulders can help retrain the muscles and other tissues of the back to support the upper body in a more upright, non-slouched position. Ultimately, this can help eliminate back pain stemming from poor posture.
An added benefit is the low profile and comfortable fit of the brace for the upper back means one is more apt to leave it on, speeding the healing process.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long do you need to wear your posture brace?
Initially, we recommend easing into the duration of time you wear the brace. Start out in thirty minute increments and gradually increase up to three hours, depending on your comfort preference. If you experience any pain or discomfort, remove or loosen the straps. You can also reduce the amount of time you wear it.
How do I know which size to get?
Using a fabric or flexible tape measure, find the circumference around your chest at the bottom of your sternum. See sizing chart below.
How do I put on the brace?
Unpack the brace and remove the Velcro strap (you will need this strap to close the support after fitting the brace to your body). Put on the support like a backpack, slipping your arms through the loops. Pull the straps tight around the shoulders to a comfortable fit and wrap them in front of you. If required cut excess length of the straps with a scissors. Close the straps at chest height with the earlier removed Velcro strap.
How do I adjust the brace to make it smaller or bigger?
To adjust the straps, pull the straps to tighten or loosen them for your ideal comfort. If the straps are still too long, trim the ends and then re-attach the Velcro piece.
Can I wash the brace?
Yes, hand wash in lukewarm water using a mild detergent. Do not use fabric softeners. Close the Velcro closure to avoid damaging other items being washed. Allow to air dry, avoiding heat.
Can you sleep in the brace?
For the greatest impact on your posture and pain relief we recommend wearing it during the day. During the day wear will allow you to correct your posture when you are finding discomfort from natural slouching. However, if you want to wear it at night it will not hurt you in anyway but you will find more results from daytime use.
Can this be used as a clavicle brace?
Yes it can be used as either a posture or clavicle brace. Although it can be used to treat a clavicle fracture or break, the narrow straps of the posture brace are not ideal for such injuries. Instead, this figure 8 clavicle brace is a better option for this condition.
